CHARACTER NAME:Lysander Scamander
AGE: 20
HOUSE/YEAR/SPECIAL ROLES: Ravenclaw '24, stole his brother's prefect pass a lot.
WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?:
Lysander was raised by wolves, some say. They may not be wrong. He was a pretty feral child, allowed to do whatever he wanted, which both shows and it's pretty obvious he squandered by just becoming a complete nerd, anyway. He has the living habits of a young bachelor and an old man combined, somehow, and cannot feed himself but does stick to a bedtime of 10pm. Gotta get up at 5am to watch those birds. He's probably snuck a lil birdfeeder onto his window, if he has a window.

In school, Lysander was definitely not a teacher's pet or authority figure or anything of the sort in school or out of it. In fact, he got in trouble quite a lot for little stuff like skipping class when he didn't think he needed to attend. Most people would know about the Ministry Incident, and most would not find it surprising. Lysander's quite prickly at first meet, but it hides a maaajor caring streak that isn't buried very far down. Upon becoming an Adult, he sort of wanted to break away from his family's magizoologist lifestyle/path. But that didn't...entirely work out, especially after Lorcan's transformation, which he took a lot to heart.

ELEVATOR PITCH: The bookish, nerdy, socially hopeless Scamander on a mission to save the creatures his family loves through the law he loves learning.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: He immediately upon graduation vaulted into a pretty high-level for entry position at the Ministry of Magic- Department for the Control of Magical Creatures. He wanted to sort of get in there from the inside, and create real change. This ended abruptly when he realized he couldn't, and he quit without much warning or grace. (Read: he did a minor property destruction and now he isn't allowed in there without an escort oopsies.)

And that's ok! It's whatever! Because now he apprentices at Burnes Stabbes and Boyles, which is a private environmental wizard law firm specializing in protective legislation for magical creatures and he's gonna be a lawyer. This is his first year but he's actually putting in some work.
NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS: Lorcan Scamander is his twin brother! Marion Bell-Wood was his babysitter as a child and he would kill for her. He probably knows the Weasley-Potter-Etc gang and has had to form Opinions on them all.
WANTED LINES:
🍀A roommate because I don't want him to have any comfort.
🍀 Former academic rivals? He would've gone just completely rabid over it. Maybe they made up. Maybe they still hate each other.

Hi! Alison suggested Louis apprentice with Luna/Rolf/Newt for some of his animal healer hours so Louis would love to be friends!

Ooooh yes please!! I would love them to be friends! Louis is so cute, and Lysander deffo has a higher opinion of people who like animals automatically, so Louis was always pretty cool in his book.

I think early in their Hogwarts careers she tried to steal his glasses exactly one time and he fucked her day up and from then on she was like, "This nerd is spicy. I like it."

I'm unapologetically making her a '24 crew hanger on and maaaaybe she likes Lysander the most? He's prickly! It's fun!

I need to write uhhhh actual app words but I have been vibing with Grandma's Place WHICH I guess is kind of actually pretty comfy if heavily ruffled, but I can maybe offer Podric as a roommate since I do not currently have an excuse to bother you. He's like ~~Richie~~ Older than Lysander though so totally understandable if not!!!
