CHARACTER NAME: Briar Longbottom
AGE: 24 or 25 based on estimates but i do think that means i fucked up peri's age
HOUSE/YEAR/SPECIAL ROLES: Hufflepuff 2012-2019, prefect
WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?: Briar is notoriously unfun, but that's because he's been trying to keep his sister from wandering into traffic since they were toddling. This mother hen attitude also applies to the bad 2019 Hufflegirls, whomst he still feels personally responsible for. After he graduated he got a job at the Prophet and has been gainfully employed since then.

ELEVATOR PITCH: This one's still a little half-baked, folks!

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Prophet since 2019! He's trying to be like, a serious investigative reporter, but he ends up writing sports columns and fluff pieces more often than he'd like to admit.

WANTED LINES:
- I'm considering making him run a Gossip Girl style anonymous gossip rag and I apologize deeply for that in advance... it's just juicy content.

part of me is like "i can't actually write gossip about our own characters" but the other part of me loves drama

Lily would know him since I feel like the Longbottoms/Potters stayed close and all. He's like 6-7 years older than her, but they would have been around each other from a young age.

She's dramatic and gryffindory. She has mostly settled into her role as an artist, but is still gossiped about in the way that celebrity kids are.

oh yes i bet the families are close! he looks out for her rep in the gossip columns (when he... isn't... anonymously writing them, unfortunately). i think he probably also tries really hard to treat her like an adult now that she's graduated bc he was a 65 year old in a child's body and hated being patronized growing up
