Re: INTRO FORMS: Albus Potter
Yeah, I feel like the Potter siblings are definitely very loyal to one other, regardless of anything else. James is Albus' one and only big brother, and growing up, Albus probably looked up to him a lot and always cared about what James thought, and wanted to live up to James' example. But then in Hogwarts when it became apparent that Albus had no trouble distinguishing himself away from James, things definitely shifted. Albus probably bought into that competition between them—part of it was genuinely friendly, and part of it was Albus validating himself with the knowledge that he was the unquestioned golden boy of the family. I can see them having some really intense and petty fights, like any brothers do, but also instantly defending each other against other people, or commiserating over what it's like to be Harry's sons, because no one else gets that.
Some part of Albus is always going to look up to James a lot, i think, even when he's at his most frustrating. I think he has a lot of obscure guilt over feeling like he's not a better brother to James and Lily (whatever that would entail). Surely it's not his fault that he sucks up all of their parents' attention and secretly loves being the favourite............ 😬
