CHARACTER NAME: Scorpius Malfoy
AGE: 21
HOUSE/YEAR/SPECIAL ROLES: Slytherin 2017-2024, loser
WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?: Scorpius was not super popular at school, between his family's reputation and his own unpleasantness. He got picked on a bit, and never knew when to let something go, therefore getting into a lot of fights he was destined to lose. Scorpius has been Albus' shy, grumpy shadow since they were tweens. They're besties. Scorpius was tolerated at the fun cool Room of Requirement parties, mostly because he was a) Albus' friend, and b) uncannily good at summoning the Room of Req.

He's always been an incredibly talented artist, though, and has aspirations to be a professional painter. He specializes in living portraits and classic oil painting, landscapes and still life and the sort. He had a gallery show last year, maybe your character went!

Scorpius isn't known for being very friendly, and Draco and Astoria basically broke ties with all their old school friends. He grew up pretty sheltered and can be rather naïve.
ELEVATOR PITCH: Draco's only child who's stuck carrying the heavy weight of his family's reputation as traitors and war criminals who seemingly got away with it all. He aspires to greatness as an artist, and won't settle for anything less.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Right out of school, Scorpius tried and quickly quit a few entry level jobs. One at the ministry, one at his parents' apothecary, maybe a couple others at places relevant to other characters. Now he's a full time struggling artist who sometimes gets commissions or sells a painting or two at a gallery.
NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS: Scorpius is best friends with Albus Potter, frienemies with Rose Weasley, and childhood friends with the Scamanders because he was babysat alongside them by Marion. He was kissin' friends with Lorcan in 6th year which he absolutely bungled by getting the twins mixed up.
WANTED LINES:
🎨Friends?? Scorpius isn't an easy person, but he's a dedicated, enabling friend with a soft heart.
🎨Enemies??? He's easy to dislike I promise.
🎨Exes? Scorpius attempted to "date" during school (girls in public, guys in "private" -- but it was a well known secret), but was a terrible, rude boyfriend. If you want a bad match, he's your guy. He's matured a little since then.
🎨ANYTHING, HONESTLY.

I don't know what Louis' relationship with Albus is like yet, but I imagine he'd run into Scorpius? Louis has loads of empathy so I can see him chatting Scorpius up if he was around him.

Scorpius isn't very good at expressing himself with sincerity, so Louis being so nice is a little intimidating. BUT he'll do his best to be nice because of Albus, Rose and Lily.

Rose is convinced she can find the fifth floor if she tries hard enough and she's going to make Scorpius help her

Use him like a metal detector, but for secret rooms and passages

teddy likes to think he and scorpius are friends lmfao but it is UP TO YOU how accurate this actually is

I THINK THEY ARE, Teddy is the closest thing he has to a sibling role model type of figure. Scorpius would die before admitting it but Teddy is Cool.

I WOULD TOO, it was super cute. I think here he calls Albus "Potter" and has conceded to calling Lily by her actual name. James can just be "the other one" for now.

They're both artists, even if in different fields, so they could bond over that, too! Of course, he's still going to give her a hard time and tease her a lot.

I... don't... know... what the vibe is. Between Albus and Rose, they've definitely crossed paths over the years. Hugo definitely doesn't judge Scorpius for the actions of his parents. But he is probably like, "Why so blue?" all the time.

Hugo has no right to be as happy as he is and Scorpius resents him for it a little bit. But like with Louis, Scorpius Makes An Attempt to be civil with Hugo.

Siân is a hanger-on of this friend group. Sorry. Marin is doing such a good job already of making Albus the exact flavor of human that Siân wants to punch in the chest, so Scorpius will probably get some blow back from that. I don't wanna say they're outright enemies but I get the feeling he will have no choice but to snipe at her eventually.

Scorpius knows that Albus is complete insufferable, but he's also way too attached to him and will feel obligated to take Al's side when Sian very rightfully wants to punch him. I agree that while they're not total enemies there is some sniping going on.

Scorpius is also kind of naive so he's not super hard to trick, so maybe she pulled the wool over his eyes a lot in school???

First of all, I love him.

To James, I think Scorpius is that weird kid who hangs out with his brother. He probably finds him - and his friendship with Al and Rose - sort of baffling.

He knows very, very little about art, but I think he would like Scorpius's work... which would probably be unexpected, considering he doesn't really come across as someone who would appreciate classical oil paintings. Even so. He'd be impressed.

Scorpius is probably extremely unpleasant to James, just on principle, i.e. for no good reason. James is cool and handsome and a quid star and Scorpius can't stand it.

And because of that I think Scorpius would be even more astounded that James likes his work. I think it'll be really interesting to play that out.

Ok ok here I go back on the meme grind anyway hello I feel like these two were probably insufferable in school and should be friends-(ish?) just by virtue of the combined weight of their nerdery. He refused to mention the library kiss for the rest of his life

And also in my wheelhouse would it be cute for Draco and Pansy to have like. Got one coffee and made up for not being horrible children anymore and she would've said congrats to him for his better life? I did not want to write anything similar in without ASKING but she's probs always cared that he's doin ok.
