WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?:

He is the oldest son of Harry and Ginny Potter
He made the front page of the Daily Prophet at age 11 after giving the two-finger salute to a photographer lurking around in Diagon Alley. His relationship with the press has only gone downhill from there.
The life of every party. He expertly teeters on the line between good times and self-destruction.
He can also be kind of an ass.
Was seriously injured in seventh year when a Beater sent a Bludger at him after the game had been called. It hit him in the head with an audible CRACK and he dropped from his broom like a stone. He wound up getting transferred to St. Mungo's, his parents were called in, his mum cried, the newspapers spent days speculating on the severity of his injuries, it was a whole thing.
He plays pro-Quidditch.
Hot-headed and prone to using his fists before his wand.

I LOVE THIS. James thinks of Teddy pretty much like a brother. In fact, he probably gets along better with Teddy than his actual brother most of the time. He freaking loves him.

Olive would be down for either a past relationship and/or current casual whatevers, but she's very likely to periodically stand him up or ditch him last minute for something exciting and new. She's a terrible girlfriend so maybe they can find an equilibrium of bad.

Current casual whatevers could be fun! Maybe just a whenever they get bored and message each other thing, that way they can both ditch each other whenever and it's no big deal. Just for gods-sake, no one tell their parents.

They also were both Gryff chasers for awhile! If she's class of '19 then she's a few years older than he is, but I think they would have overlapped on the team in his second, third, and fourth year (just before he made captain)... assuming my math isn't off.

I feel like he may hang out at the Meat Sweats bar occasionally (not eating, because no) and joke about her bartending skills. But he will also get up and help her make drinks sometimes, if she doesn't boot him out.

MATH IS AWFUL AND I'M THE WORST. He lost a year and he's 23.

The booooy! So happy you are here with him! AS i mentioned Aster is in his year and house and she was pretty lame in her first few years of school but has mellowed out a lot. Still kind of a disaster but maybe a compatible disaster? Perhaps friends? I would offer exes but i do foresee that would've been like...a week of it being a terrible terrible bad idea which could be also fun.

AND I play another he may know, Lysander Scamander, Luna's son two years younger and giant nerd who got kicked out of the ministry that time. He probably thinks James is way stuck up, but he does like Quidditch so he may cheer for his mom's friend's stuck up kid quietly anyway.

Peri's a year ahead of him and also not serious about relationships (unless her star chart tells her to be!!!) so she could be an ex or fwb for him
