INTRO FORMS: Corrie Pye
CHARACTER NAME: Coronation Street Pye
AGE: 20
HOUSE/YEAR/SPECIAL ROLES: H24, Quid cap, she was also in choir
WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?:
Her mum was a Quidditch player, her gran was a Quidditch player, she's the only one of her siblings that went pro.
She's super into wizarding comics, especially this one about an underdog Quidditch team that of course, through many trials triumphs over their greatest rivals.
She had a muggleborn boyfriend who had the same name as the main character of that comic, because she's a nerd.
She is judgemental AF and has a hard time turning off her face
Oh, she really loves costumes and would have a costume party every birthday if she could get away with it but on the assumption that people aren't always down, she saves that enthusiasm for Halloween
ELEVATOR PITCH: Quidditch legacy kid who struggled with whether or not to continue the legacy and then... did, with changes, 'cause she's a little brat. Will still fight you over the importance of the legacy. She may have some issues??
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: If I'm not completely wrong about when the season is, she's on her first year as a first-string, chasing for the Wanderers. She previously had two seasons as a Falcons reserve.
NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS: The only person I've talked to already is Kas about Marion because they're Quidkids, and even that was basically like "they still know each other, right?" SO we probably need to work that one out a little more maybe
WANTED LINES:
Frands. She's fairly ride or die and wants to be needed, but has an unfortunate lack of respect for overly nice people, because she thinks they're dumb. Not a great trait in Puffland, but she has good qualities too.
Folks she grew up with, so mostly Quidkids but if you have a healer parent you can be one of the sane ones from her dad's group of friends, I guess?
The one ex I guess if you really want to play her First Love who's a muggleborn that Really Doesn't Get Quidditch
I am pretty sure rivals will find each other so I don't necessarily need to go looking for them

If she's friends with Rose, then she's going to see this dweeb around. Scorpius is also prickly with a chip on his shoulder about family legacies, so the two of them might lock horns? Or maybe weirdly connect??? I'm open to all possibilities.

I could honestly see it going either way, or both ways, because she's the sort of person who gets at least kind of annoyed at everyone occasionally. I will say she doesn't much care about bad pureblood reputations, and it might help that her parents are significantly older than his, so it's not like there's a history of bad blood to deal with? But she'd totally make fun of snooty pureblood culture at him.

Oh AND: Corrie's mum started sending her condoms and stuff way sooner than she ever needed them. I said she started out just burning them because she was 14 and embarrassed, but would Sian have wanted them, to sell?

This is so funny. I love the idea of Sian running an illegal condom shop out of the Slytherin common room, funded unknowingly by Corrie's mom.

Hugo is basically the same age as Corrie, though I doubt have really crossed paths before Henhurst. She'd know his sister, Rose, and they're on the same floor, so she won't be able to avoid him. We can just feel out their vibe, unless you have something specific in mind. Unfortunately, Corrie's family legacy and career mean... next to nothing to Hugo. He knows how to be a Quidditch fan (yells when this happens, boos at that) but actually does NOT fully know the rules or care much for the sport. Somehow he's managed to make it 20 years without really being called out on that.

Corrie is currently calling Hugo "New Weasley" for obvious reasons. She is tight with Rose! And at least friendlyish with various other members of the family, but established friends with Rose.
I initially thought she might not realize he's Rose's brother, because despite liking individuals in the family, she is kind of defensive/semi-aggressive about the Importance of Potter/Weasleys, and would have intentionally paid as little attention as possible to news about them. So she'd have vaguely heard at some point about "Hugo" or Rose having a brother, but in theory might not have immediately put two and two together.
That probably doesn't make sense after convos in Grizzy's post, though! But she might still not remember that he's a squib.
Him not knowing about her family or caring about Quidditch is hilarious, though, especially given how proud she is of it and how she feels about his fam's reputation. I don't want to make that sound like it would completely ruin any interaction, though! She does really get along with Rose and isn't always prickly. She just has jealousy/insecurity issues, and she and Hugo were chatting fine in journals so I think overall they could get along really well!
