The upcoming Ostara Masquerade will be anonymous IC. To help that vibe, the mods will be facilitating some
actually anonymous thread starters for interested players. Here's how it works:
- The player replies to this screened post with a short description of their character at the Masquerade that doesn't give away their identity. For example, "A young man is standing by the dance floor, his flower crown trailing with daffodils. You don't recall seeing him before now, but when he notices you watching, he winks."
- When the event is posted, we'll scatter these openers throughout the IC/OOC with the mod account. We'll reply to your screened comment letting you know where your starter ended up.
- Wait for people to respond to your character, and then reply with your own journal as normal to begin a scene.
- Your submitted characters can otherwise post as normal wherever and however they want before and after their anonymous encounters.
- How the Anonymity Charm works: Someone wearing a charmed mask is unrecognizable to those looking at them. While you can't determine who they are immediately, maybe something from their speech patterns will tip you off — or something they choose to tell you.
- What about the 'sexy' dress code? The magic around the event changes everyone's outfits to adapt to the theme, which will be Celtic and floral. When your character leaves they'll emerge in their original outfit, but for the duration of the Masquerade, their original choice of dress will neither matter nor influence what they're put in during the Masquerade.
- My character's related to everyone else! Will it get Weird? The Anonymity Charm's got your back. Characters will know intuitively when they're speaking with someone they're related to, but they won't know the nature of that relation. For example, Rose Weasley would know if she were talking to someone she's related to, but she wouldn't know if it was Hugo, Roxanne, or Albus.
- You have until Saturday, March 20 at 9:00 p.m. EST to submit your characters for this. Which means, yes, you can wait until the day of the Masquerade itself to submit one of these. No more anonymous prompts will be posted after March 20.

Description: This is the only text that will be posted. Please describe your character in 1–5 sentences without explicitly saying who they are.
Limit number of replies? Submissions will be OPEN TO MULTIPLE by default. You can limit the number of replies (i.e. limit to 1/2/3 players, etc.) if you don't want to get overloaded.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! We're so thrilled by all your responses to the Meat Cute and we hope you had fun!!
- The deadline to submit your bingo card for Mystery Prizes is tomorrow, Monday, February 15th, at 12pm. We're only checking cards submitted under the Completed Bingo Cards subheader so be sure to turn them in there when you've gotten a Bingo or else we won't see them!
- If you're stuck on a square or two, Morty might be able to help you out before he shoos you off. (aka I, Alison, will give you 2-3 short, simple tags to hopefully help you fill something out. This offer's only for tonight, though. 😎)
- We're still working on the plot calendar! If there's any events you want to see or if you have any fun plot ideas, give us a holler in the dropbox!
- Speaking of the plot calendar, we're changing up how claims work and doing away with the one-per-month rule. We're still Figuring Things Out so bear with us!

Hi and welcome to day two at Henhurst Hall! We've been loving all of the activity and shenanigans so far and we're so glad you're here. :) We have a couple of announcements about the Valentine's Day IC/OOC, which will be a Meat Cute—a speed-dating event—at everybody's favourite and most-cursed steak house:
Meat Sweats.
- The Meat Cute will be posted early. IC it'll still happen Sunday evening, but we'll be posting it on Thursday as we want everyone to have enough time to play out their scenes so characters can bask in the aftermath.
- We'll be using a bingo system to encourage everyone to do vignettes with a variety of characters.
- We'd like your help! This group has AMAZING brains, and since this is a GPSL we're crowdsourcing prompts for the bingo cards. They will be IC, meaning that your character will have a bingo card of their own. If you'd like to contribute, please reply to the screened BINGO SUGGESTION BOX thread.
- Don't forget the plot calendar! There's still a few open spots for this fortnight. :)
- Since the comments here are screened, any discussion about this post can go on this chatter thread. That was a lot of fun to figure out.

Hello everyone! Tomorrow will be the official opening of the game. We hope you're as excited as we are. :> Before things get rolling, we wanted to confirm and clarify a few things. Please read these carefully!
- The game will open tomorrow (Saturday) with an IC/OOC for move-in day (~12:PM EST), as well as a Plot Calendar that'll go up every other week with events taking place around Henhurst Hall.
- The Plot Calendar (PCAL for short) will go up at 3:00 PM EST tomorrow. Each player can claim one spot to start with, and additional spots after some time has elapsed. We'll explain it in detail on the post itself.
- We've tinkered a little with the rules on inviting new players, in case you have any friends that might be interested: Players of accepted characters are welcome to invite friends, but you have to contact the mods via email or dropbox beforehand. Because of the nature of Henhurst Hall, space is limited and something strange might happen if it gets too full. (Foreshadowing? Maybe!)
