Heyyy I was going to wait for the new meme but decided to throw caution to the wind and follow Cheryl's example! Also like Cheryl, I'm just using the form from the last one, so.. forgive me.

(Also hi for those who don't know me! I'm Rin! I'm a person! I live in Chicago and computer for a living! Also I'm going to bed in a hot sec so responses will be delayed ilu all)

CHARACTER NAME: Tracey Nettlebed II
AGE: 24
HOUSE/YEAR/SPECIAL ROLES: Slytherin 2020, prefect. She was a pretty mild prefect that enforced big rules but often let the small ones slide, and definitely ignored any she thought were pointless.

WHAT'S SOME COMMON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THEM?: Her mom was a big time gossip reporter before most of them were born and now is a small time gossip reporter. She's Irish. If anyone is in the Ministry/knows about what's going on in the Ministry, she put a lot of energy into trying to improve relations with centaurs before switching to the goblin office. Tracey is open and honest, so feel free to know pretty much anything about her in her app if you want. In school she was really bad at sleeping (and still is) and wanders around a lot in the middle of the night, sometimes hopped up on sleeping draughts. She's blunt but not to be mean.

ELEVATOR PITCH: Tracey is an overly honest, hardworking goblin liaison that loves to learn about people but rarely wants it to move past being acquaintances. She spent most of her childhood trying to gather gossip for her mother, a gossip columnist, and then grew up, tried to date a centaur and failed, and now is...here...

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Fresh out of school she did a bit of writing for the small local paper in Dundalk and secretary work at the Ministry of Magic. Graduated to liaison in the centaur office, and then moved onto the goblin office. I did NOT figure out the full timing on this because I'm lazy but can sort things out if needed!!! Forgive me!!!

NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS: ??? Not related to anyone as far as she knows. (she doesn't know who her dad is and she doesn't care)

WANTED LINES:

A few close friends! She's bad at emotionally connecting with people in general, but she does it sometimes. Will murder people for you if she loves you!
People who think they're her friends but she just thinks of them as acquaintances. Mostly because I just find this hilarious.
You could have dated her if you want but I don't, like, need exes

Rin! It's Ben. Love Tracey. This is Hugo, baby squib son of Ron and Hermoine who has big dreams of being, well, not-ordinary. He's fun-loving, easy-going, and has a bit of a performative bravery. I'll take literally any line with you, obviously, but a few questions/thoughts that might stir up ideas...

- Did Tracey's mom write bad stuff about Hermoine/Ron/Rose/Hugo?
- Idk how Hermoine has treated centaurs & goblins, but I think we can decide whatever that is. She could hold a grudge about Hugo or hope he'll lobby his mom on her behalf??
- Hugo really feeds off positive reactions -- he's kinda insecure! -- so if Tracey makes an effort to get to know him, he'll definitely think they're friends or there's some flirtin' going on... when really she might just think they're acquaintances.
- He could accidentally reveal family & political things he's not supposed to reveal.

- Tracey's mom probably wrote bad stuff about them because those names sell papers!!!! She talked to Harry one time so she's an expert, anyway. Tracey feels zero bad about this but will also be like: 🤷‍♀️idk what you expected
- Up to you re: Hermione!! I'd be surprised if she were a big butt about it I think?? She would probably be more on the side of trying to convince him to convince Hermione of things, especially since he's an easy target with his validation seeking. She wouldn't ever like... lie to him, probably, but she would be less clear than she normally is about just kind of seeing him as this weird kid with connections
- Tell her... all the goss... please... she might even be able to keep it to herself and not tell her mom!!

(he's such a gem - I will say, she respects tf out of him for being a squib and still all up in this business, so he gets points for that)

Hey Julia!! Ahhh baby puff!! Their time at Hogwarts was pretty far spaced so she was just some weird older Slytherin prefect if he bumped into her at all, I imagine. Being that he's a Weasley she will casually try to eavesdrop sometimes/chat with him, maybe??

They were both prefects Tracey's senior year!! So!!! I'm sure they had SOME run-ins. Maybe if they got along they got bored and occasionally said they were half-sisters because they technically could be, who knows. I'm so bad at intros too!!!

noelnoel) like a year below her and in gryffindor. he probably broke curfew a lot bc he lost track of time and now he thinks they're good mates if she let it slide.

horsie) is a slytherin mean girl, three years above her. she was head girl, unfortunately, and founder/president of equestrian club thanks to $$$ family money $$$ she comes from a family of celebrities but like... american celebrities, so idk if tracey nettlebed the first would've been interested in that or not.

lorcan (this journal!!) is four years below her and in ravenclaw. also just sorta ignored the rules that were dumb but later on was made prefect. we made some bad prefects. when she was a prefect, she probably caught him wandering the castle at night after curfew. but unlike noel, it was on purpose.

as adults, though!! he's interested in her work as a liaison. he's notable for writing a book on his time w/the appalachian mothmen and is thought of as the first human to have made significant contact with them. (but then he got werewolf'd and took a break from the whole... cryptid research thing.)

which is a lot of words to say a whole lot of nothing except "i think he'll like her"

At last during Tracey's early school years she definitely would have hung around Maya to try to get some deets for her mom, because weird American celebrity sounds like a Great Scoop!! Their Slytherinness means that at the very least Maya had to deal with her a lot. They could have gotten along if Maya didn't hate Tracey being blunt sometimes??

LORCAN! She'd be really interested in his work, honestly. She loves her a good non-human being (and also just creatures, lbh), so she would possibly, now, just march up to him and be like: tea tomorrow, time to talk about all them beings

chasingrivers Chase Jordan is a former Gryffindor a year younger than her, works at Meat Sweats and also hosts a WWN program. They're kind of weird and daydreamy but ultimately friendly and I'll probably just throw them at Tracy or whatever, make them your problem now!! (ilu)

greasygrimygopherguts Gilly Goyle, former Hufflepuff and prefect a year older than her so they probably at least know each other!! Oldest of five Goyle girls, she mostly collects gross stuff for a living and will apparently just let people eat frog brains if they want a party activity.

scrooged Ebenezer Smith, former Ravenclaw in her year. He was out of school fifth year because of a curse, but he told everyone he was an exchange student to Japan and had a Japanese girlfriend. (He didn't.) He's prickly and probably sensitive to blunt people, so maybe they clashed in school?? Even if she wasn't trying to be mean he's a dumb baby.

AND FINALLY newest baby Freddie Weasley. Gryffindor a few years younger than her so they might not have known each other, but he definitely raised some hell in school while she was a prefect. Now he's here to cause trouble. OH BUT he also has trouble sleeping and I think it would be cute if they have late night bonding sessions. Even if she doesn't remember it because she was hopped up on a sleeping draught and now he thinks they're best friends.

So far, I've only got Siân here. She's a wee 20 year old Slytherin, so they don't have major overlap but they are, at least, aware of each other. Tracey probably have to give Sian detention a time or two but I don't think Sian would hold a grudge because it seems like Tracey was pretty fair. Sian supports a strong, independent woman!!!
