She would probably be more on the side of trying to convince him to convince Hermione of things, especially since he's an easy target with his validation seeking. She wouldn't ever like... lie to him, probably, but she would be less clear than she normally is about just kind of seeing him as this weird kid with connections - Tell her... all the goss... please... she might even be able to keep it to herself and not tell her mom!!
