The female bird has a single ovary. When an ovum is released into the oviduct and fertilized, that's the yolk. The albumen grows and that whole thing develops membrane layers, then calcium carbonate that are deposited on to those layers, then pigmentation, if any, then a final protein layer before the egg is laid. It takes about 24 hours.

I feel a lot of things... very frequently. So frequently that my grandmother once called me a tornado of emotions... because I got very worked up about things and then an hour later would ask for pizza like nothing happened.

I'm incredible afraid of heights because I was too stubborn when I was a small child. I wanted to use an adult broom like everyone else and I didn't want a stupid toddler broom. So I stole one during a cookout when no one was looking, proceeded to yeet myself around my Grans back yard and fall spectacularly off. I don't remember anything until waking up in the hospital hours later.
